A Board & Train is an option for solving a wide range of problems. Your dog lives in the trainer's home and often travels to work with them, so training is not something that happens for one hour and then stops. It happens all day, in the situations where the behavior actually shows up.
That is why progress comes faster here than in any other program we run. There is no gap between what the dog learns and what the dog lives.

IMMERSION

Behavioral Board & Train
Ages 6 months and up. For dogs needing behavioral modification, including reactivity, aggression, fearfulness and shyness. Dogs with a bite history will be required to be muzzle conditioned prior to beginning training. We will provide resources to help you select the appropriate muzzle and instructions on how to properly introduce and condition your dog to wearing it.

Where does my dog actually stay?
In the trainer's home, not in a kennel run. Board & Train dogs live with their trainer and often travel to work with them, which is a large part of why the training moves as quickly as it does.
Why is it faster than lessons?
Because the conversation between the dog and the trainer is very clear. There is no inconsistency between sessions and no gap where old habits creep back in.
My dog is aggressive or reactive. Which package?
The Behavioral Board & Train. Aggression, reactivity, fears and phobias, resource guarding, and touch sensitivity are handled in that program only. If you would rather work your own dog through it, Ruff Edges covers the same issues across four private lessons.
My puppy does not have all their parvo shots yet.
The 1 Week Puppy package is still open to you. There is an additional $40 per day disinfecting fee if a puppy does not have all of their parvo shots completed.
How do I reserve a date?
There is a non-refundable fee of $500 to reserve the date of your Board & Train. Spots fill in advance, so start with the Training Questionnaire as early as you can.
What happens when my dog comes home?
Your trainer will go over what your dog learned and what you need to keep up. The training holds as long as you hold the same standards at home that the trainer held during the program.
Can I visit my dog during their Board & Train?
We do not schedule visits during Board & Train programs. Having owners come and go during their stay can be confusing for some dogs and may interrupt the training routine we’re working to establish. We want your dog to have the opportunity to settle in, bond with their trainer, and get the most out of their program. Don’t worry—you’ll receive updates throughout their stay so you can see how they’re doing and follow along with their progress!
Cancellation policy
We work very hard to meet the needs of our client's busy schedules. There is a non-refundable fee of $500 to reserve the date of your Board & Train.
